WorkSafe is calling for quad bike safety to be in the limelight - in the wake of four fatal accidents

WorkSafe is calling for quad bike safety to be in the limelight - in the wake of four fatal accidents

Four farmers were killed in the past three weeks in quad bike rollovers.

Worksafe is investigating all four accidents - which coincide with the start of lambing and calving season.

Spokesperson Graham Bates says the trend is worrying enough to sound the alarm already.

He says farm vehicle incidents are one of the top two causes of workplace deaths in the country.

Bates urges farmers to take the intiative and follow safety advice to reduce the risk.
