    Police warn scam calls by people claiming to be officers are rising nationwide, with three arrests so far


    The caller claims they're informing the person they're the victim of fraud or a scam -- and asks for financial information.

    Older people are being targeted most, with some victims directed to withdraw money to help investigations..

    One of those arrested is a 26-year-old UK national, previously convicted of scamming people of more than 300-thousand dollars.
