There's a long list of witnesses preparing to speak in the three-week coronial inquest into the death of Kiwi cyclist Olivia Podmore

The Rio Olympian died in 2021, leading to an investigation revealing cultural and structural issues at Cycling New Zealand.

Thirty witnesses are expected at the inquest - including Podmore's parents, friends, Cycling NZ witnesses and health professionals.

The inquest is being held at Hamilton District Court over the next three weeks.

The Herald's Tom Dillane says two time gold medalist Eric Murray will take the stand, as he saw Podmore a few days before her death.
