Appearing on The Hollywood Reporter's 'Awards Chatter' podcast, she said: "We would do our tapings for Wizards in front of a live audience every Friday night.
"And that was the biggest high I could ever get. It was the coolest feeling to make a kid laugh uncontrollably because it's pure.
"I mean, I've had kids come up to me, and they only know me as Alex. You know? And they'll have full conversations like, 'Where's your wand?' "
While some performers might be frustrated by some fans not separating them from a famous role, Selena found it a profound experience.
She added: "I think that's probably a moment I'll never forget where I recognized we had this influence to make people and kids feel good."
Selena recently claimed that she will "never forget" the role 'Wizards of Waverly Place' played in her career.
The actress also revealed that she loved being involved with the new sequel series.
The brunette beauty told PEOPLE: "This is what gave me everything that I have today, and I'll never forget that this is where I started."
Selena also admitted that she's already "made" her 11-year-old sister watch the show.
She said: "It's the best feeling in the whole world to be able to bring this back for you and to all the people who have never seen it before.
"My sister included. I've made her watch it. I don't think she's that into it, but I was so genuinely happy to be able to just bring the nostalgia back."
