    Young drivers are being urged to be safe on the roads in new campaign


    The NZTA, Police and ACC are teaming up to promote the 'do not disturb' setting on young drivers phones - whose crash risk increases by four times when on their phone.

    ACC Injury Prevention Leader James Whitaker says they researched what messages would correlate with drivers aged 16-24.

    They found people would be happy to click 'do not disturb' as opposed to turning it off or placing it out of reach.
