    A Kiwisaver expert is hailing changes to the scheme made in this year's budget


    16 and 17-year-olds will now be eligible for Government and employer contributions.

    The default rate will gradually increase from 3 to 4 percent.

    Kiwisaver expert Jonathan Eriksen says getting people to start younger will bring benefits.

    He says it will teach young people to save earlier.
