Liam Gallagher has no desire to perform on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage

The 52-year-old star has previously performed at the world-famous music festival in south-west England, but Liam insists he isn't interested in taking to the Pyramid Stage, likening the crowd to "a load of jamboree teachers".

Asked if he might be at Glastonbury in 2026, Liam replied on X: "Hope not."

The rock star subsequently explained that he's not impressed by the Pyramid Stage crowd.

Liam - who is set to begin the Oasis reunion tour in July - explained: "I like the other stages and the tents but the main stage is like playing to a load of jamboree teachers."

Asked if that was a "bad thing", Liam said: "Yes it's horrendous (sic)"

Liam subsequently described the Pyramid Stage crowd a group "dressed in Ty die clothes banging clogs and blowing up balloons all with psycho smiles and crusty eyes and red wine mouths".

Oasis announced their long-awaited reunion in 2024, and Noel Gallagher - Liam's older brother and bandmate - previously claimed that no group had managed to fill the void the band left when they split in 2009.

The 58-year-old rock star also admitted to being amazed that Oasis had so many young fans, despite splitting more than a decade ago.

Noel told Vernon Kay in 2023: "It's a real privilege when these anniversaries come round and kids are still into it, for something that we kind of ... we created that sound.

"You know, it wasn't thought out, we were the real deal, we were just a bunch of guys who created this noise and the songs are great and it's still going.

    "I can't believe it, it's still going.

"It's unbelievable ... a lot of it is to do with kids that are, teenagers now don't really have anything like that anymore and, I guess suppose like we did looking back to The Beatles and Stones and stuff like that so it's a bit of a shame - not a shame, 'cause it's great for me obviously - that no one really came along to take our place if you like."
