Belief business in Canterbury is well positioned for the future

Belief business in Canterbury is well positioned for the future

The Quarterly Canterbury Business Survey reveals 64 percent of businesses expect the economy to strengthen over the next year.

More than half plan to hire, and nearly two-thirds intend to invest in property, plant or equipment.

Chief Executive Leeann Watson says they need more than just confidence, but an environment that enables business to thrive.

She says it's important to maintain growth to have a strong city, South Island and New Zealand economy.
