    There's concerns young people are attacking eels in a creek in Richmond in the Tasman area


    The Tasman District Council says it has heard reports of the eels in a creek in Berryfields being cruelly targeted by youths.

    Our newsroom reports cases of eels being cut up by a machete and attacked with stones.

    Council science and educational teams say they're trying to stop the behaviour by talking with children at schools.
