A measles case has been identified in Queenstown - after four cases were confirmed in Northland, over the weekend

Health New Zealand says there are no known links between the regions, but both are believed to be connected to overseas travel.

The National Public Health Service is identifying close contacts and possible exposure locations.

Health New Zealand's also released a new location of interest relating to the Northland cases.

It's asking any attendees at Kerikeri High School's Monsters production, at 7pm on September 17 - to urgently call Healthline.
