JoJo Siwa rushed into hospital in "excruciating pain" because an ovary cyst had burst just hours before her Black Friday show

The Dance Moms star took to TikTok on Saturday (29.11.25) and revealed she had been "couldn't breathe" and was "blacking out" before she was whisked to hospital moments before her performance at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota.

It came after JoJo, 22, had dismissed stomach pain - which "just passes" - after dancing or walking for the "last couple of days".

In the TikTok video, she said: "It was yesterday morning, and I went to the Mall of America to do some morning Black Friday work, and all of a sudden, I was coming back up to my room, told my mom, I was like, 'Hey, I'm gonna have to get myself looked at when I get home. This pain is really bad, but I thought it would pass; it has been for the last few days.'

"I got back up to my room, and I had three hours before the performance, so I was like, 'I'm just gonna lie down and close my eyes, and hope for the best.' I lay down, I closed my eyes, and I was like, 'I can't breathe, this is really bad. Why don't I get in the bathtub?' And that set it off 100 times worse.

"So I got in the bathtub, and I was in it for maybe four minutes, and all of a sudden, I was like, 'I have to get out immediately,' because I knew I was gonna black out, and I felt like I was gonna throw up.

"And so I got out immediately, I ran to the couch, and I just lay down. I called my mom, and I was blacking out. And so as soon as I was done blacking out, I called my mom, and I was like, 'Hey, it's actually really bad. I think I need you to come up here."

JoJo's mom Jessalynn rushed to be with her daughter, and because JoJo was in so much pain, she needed her mom's help to dress before the emergency services arrived.

The medics did not know what was wrong with the Celebrity Big Brother 2025 star after "they took vitals" - which "was normal", and they asked JoJo if she wanted to go to hospital to be checked out, to which the media personality agreed.

JoJo then told her fans in the health update video: "[One in hospital], we said [to doctors], 'Look, obviously if something is like we, we need emergency surgery, wrong or something like, obviously there are other options, but there is a lot of people at the Mall of America waiting and counting on this performance.

"'And, obviously, there's something life-threatening, like, we can postpone, we can figure it out, we can push it even later. We'll figure it out.'

"I was like, if it's an option for me to be out of here by 11am, and that was my dad [Tom] saying that to them because he knew that is what I wanted to communicate, but I was in so much pain that I couldn't communicate."

After the "pain meds started to kick in", JoJo felt better and was "dancing in my hospital bed" before an ultrasound revealed the cyst had "burst and was bleeding into my stomach".

After medics told JoJo that the issue "should resolve itself", the star - who got "a lot of peace of mind" after being told about her burst cyst - returned to the Mall of America to perform for her fans.

JoJo "should be OK", but would need to go "immediately back in" hospital if the pain - caused by the "blood in the belly" - continues.

The star - who is thankful for the "amazing" doctors for getting her out of the hospital "within two hours" - captioned the TikTok video with: "Thank you for all the well wishes, grateful for the Doctors and Nurses for working so fast and helping me get back on time, keep it pushing."

On Friday, JoJo took to Instagram and shared footage of her lively performance at the Mall of America, and sang a series of tracks, including her new Christmas song, a cover of Message To The World (Little Drummer Girl).
