Three Banks Peninsula properties have been red-stickered - in the wake of last week's severe flooding and landslips

Christchurch City Council has deemed three properties on the Canterbury peninsula completely unsafe to occupy.

Three others have been yellow-stickered with restricted access.

The council lifted the local state of emergency on Monday as it moves into recovery mode.

It says seven properties have been inspected, but this may increase as future damage is reported.
