    A 70-year-old Australian man has died after a fall on a section of the Routeburn Track today


    The man had been part of a multi-day guided walk with Ultimate Hikes.

    The man had been walking up a rise on the track in wet conditions and was about to walk on to a bridge when he slipped and fell.

    Police, WorkSafe and the Department of Conservation have been notified.
