Federated Farmers says an unusual situation is causing some farmers who have culled stock, to be paying tax as if they've made a profit - when they clearly haven't.
Stuart Nash says it's a technical issue and will need careful consideration.
He says he'll respond to Federated Farmers once he receives advice from Inland Revenue about his options.
