The Wellington Phoenix will endeavour to replicate home surroundings during the A-League football season

The Wellington Phoenix will endeavour to replicate home surroundings during the A-League football season

They'll be based in New South Wales to start the new campaign from December 27.

General manager David Dome says they won't stay in hotels.

The Phoenix will assemble in Australia next week for an eight-week pre-season.

Tottenham's extended its unbeaten run to 10 games in all competitions, beating Burnley 1-nil to climb to fifth in the English Premier League.

New Zealand pace bowler Matt Henry has broken his thumb at Canterbury cricket practice ahead of their next Plunket Shield match tomorrow - no official timeframe has been set as yet for his return.

Alice Robinson's European World Cup skiing campaign has hit a snag.

The 18-year-old's been unable to get access to a Snow Sports New Zealand physio because the organisation's banned staff travel due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

They'll pay for a Europe-based replacement, but Robinson's co-coach Chris Knight says that's proving difficult.
