There are further signs inflation is starting to level out, ahead of the next review of the Official Cash Rate on Wednesday

There are further signs inflation is starting to level out, ahead of the next review of the Official Cash Rate on Wednesday

The Reserve Bank's expected to cut the OCR by 25 to 50 basis points.

Latest figures from Infometrics show Foodstuffs' supermarket supplier costs increased 2.3 percent in both the year to August, and the year to September.

Infometrics says an increase of just over two-percent now appears to be the "new normal".

We won't get an official update on the inflation rate until next week, but the Reserve Bank is confident it's back within the one to three percent target range.
