Even the smallest detail could be crucial in helping to resolve an unsolved case spanning multiple years

Human remains found in Tokoroa this month have been identified as being those of Shane Edwards - a father who went missing in May 2022.

His mum says whanau are grateful the remains have been found - but say there are still lots of questions around how he ended up in such a remote farmyard area.

Detective Senior Sergeant Ryan Yardley says there are unusual circumstances around Edwards' disappearance.

Police want anyone with information on how he went missing, or why his body was near Mossop Road near Tokoroa - to come forward.
