Organisers of Auckland's Pride Parade are asking people to not to share videos or images of Anti-LGBTQ protests

Yesterday - a group linked to Destiny Church stormed the Te Atatu Peninsula community centre - where a rainbow-friendly children's event was happening in the library.

Later, the Pride Parade was also disrupted with some Destiny Church members breaking through police barricades on Ponsonby Road.

Auckland Pride says footage of the events contains distressing scenes - which could further endanger people if it continues to circulate.

It says similar protests could happen again, but it will remain resilient in the face of hate and violence.
