    One man is trapped underground after a roof collapsed at a mine in Central Queensland


    Emergency services were alerted to the incident at the Curragh coal mine yesterday afternoon.

    It is located in Blackwater - about 800 kilometres northwest of Brisbane.

    Sky News Reporter Kaiser Shields , says one person has been rescued after being found about one kilometre from the mine's entrance.

    She says one man remains missing with a heavy presence from rescuers searching for him.
