Former Fifth Harmony star Ally Brooke has globophobia - the fear of popping balloons

The 27-year-old pop star is terrified of the bang a balloon makes when it is burst, as well as the loud noises made by fireworks and thunderstorms and she finds it bizarre that anyone could enjoy them

She said: "I am terrified of fireworks, balloons popping and thunderstorms. They destroy my eardrums. I don't understand how people enjoy them."

Ally fessed up about her phobia in the 25 Things You Don't Know About me feature for Us Weekly magazine as well as spilling some other odd secrets.

The 'Work from Home' hitmaker lifted the lid on her obsession with candles admitting she has spent a lot of money on them to make her home smell nice, something that is noted by her friends and family.

She said: "I'm obsessed with candles. I've shamelessly spent a ton of money on them - but everyone always compliments my house's fragrance."

Ally also revealed that wherever she goes in the world she always picks up a specific trinket for her mother Patricia.

She shared: "I love to collect Christmas ornaments for my mom from around the world."

The singer also confessed that she still cannot drive, but she has made it her ambition to pass her test this year.

She said: "I still don't have my driver's license. It's my 2021 goal to get it. (I say this every year!)"
