The construction sector's held up well despite the challenges of Covid-19

The construction sector's held up well despite the challenges of Covid-19

That's the find from a Government National Construction Pipeline Report - which shows the outlook is positive.

Infrastructure activity is forecast to steadily grow - from 9.2-billion dollars last year to 11.2-billion dollars in 2026.

The sector is now the fourth-largest employer - with more than 280-thousand people working in the industry.

Residential construction is the largest contributor to activity, at 58 percent of total construction value last year.
