    Reports of several deer on the loose in Christchurch's south-west continue


    At least three deer have been wreacking havoc in Halswell this afternoon, with one hit by a car on Halswell Road.

    Police say the driver is okay, and the deer ran off into bushes.

    Various social media posts show footage of deer in a Kennedy's Landing driveway, an O'Halloran Drive property and the Quarry Paddocks subdivision.

    The SPCA has been approached for comment.
