    Black Caps captain Tim Southee has praised the efforts of Will O'Rourke despite the loss to Sri Lanka


    The hosts needed less than four overs to claim both wickets to secure a 63-run win in Galle .

    But the Black Caps can take positives from O'Rourke, who chipped in with eight wickets across both innings, including five in the first innings.

    Southee told Sky Sport O'Rourke has shown glimpses of a bright future ahead.



    The second test gets underway on Thursday -- also in Galle.
