The man accused of murdering Christchurch real estate agent Yanfei Bao has starting defending himself

The man accused of murdering Christchurch real estate agent Yanfei Bao has starting defending himself

The Prosecution says Tingjun Cao killed Bao at a private property viewing in July 2023, her body being found a year later.

Proceedings have been delayed by disruptions, including an outburst from the defendant claiming a witness was lying.

Justice Lisa Preston has confirmed Cao's decision to the jury, following closed court discussions.
