The High Court appeal for the Mama Hooch rapist brothers won't be heard until July next year -- nearly two years after the pair were jailed

Roberto and Danny Jaz were sentenced to 16-and-a-half and 17 years respectively, on 69 charges for preying on women at the Christchurch Bar.

Two days have been set aside for the court to hear their appeals.

Their defence has already cost almost 900-thousand-dollars in legal aid - at taxpayer cost.

That's expected to significantly rise in relation to the appeal.
