Black Caps coach Gary Stead has explained why there's doubt over Lockie Ferguson's involvement after being named in the 15-strong Champions Tour squad for next month in Pakistan and the UAE

Black Caps coach Gary Stead has explained why there's doubt over Lockie Ferguson's involvement after being named in the 15-strong Champions Tour squad for next month in Pakistan and the UAE

The fast bowler's been picked over Jacob Duffy despite not having a central contract and could become unavailable due to ILT20 commitments.

Stead says they think the dates will line up, but it'll be confirmed in time.

Duffy will come in if Ferguson can't play two games before the tournament.

The Black Caps have a Tri-Series against Pakistan and South Africa from February 8 and a warm-up match against Afghanistan in Karachi.
