Tom Fletcher's son Buzz has made his West End debut at the age of 10

The McFly star and his wife Giovanna are celebrating after the youngster landed a role in a revived production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'roller-skating stage show 'Starlight Express' and made his first appearance in the musical over the weekend - with the couple revealing seeing him onstage in London was "total magic"

In a joint post on Instagram, the pair wrote: "We've been keeping this quiet for a little while but tonight was race night and our brilliant Buzz had his debut performance as Control in the incredible 'Starlight Express' ...

"I can't even begin to describe the overwhelming pride (and nerves!) watching him run out onto that stage and deliver those opening lines and then give the most amazing performance. It was total magic and a memory for us all that will never be forgotten!"

She went on to add: "I can't thank the whole Starlight team enough for believing in him and giving him this amazing opportunity to be part of this absolute spectacle of a show.

"Also, a huge thanks to all his teachers and of course @joscottschool who have been so amazing at supporting and encouraging him through the auditions and rehearsals. He did you all proud tonight!"

According to The Sun newspaper, young Buzz's acting career appears to be taking off as he's also landed a role in BBC kids' TV show 'Andy And The Band', which is due to be broadcast later this year.

Tom - who also has Buddy, nine, and Max, six with Giovanna - has been dabbling in musical theatre himself in recent years and is currently writing music and lyrics for a stage musical based on Paddington Bear.

He has also written for productions of 'Christmasaurus' and 'There's a Monster in Your Show'.
