Pink went "white as a ghost" with fear when her husband Carey Hart injured himself on 'Special Forces'

The 45-year-old pop superstar has been married to former professional freestyle motocross competitor Carey, 49, since 2009 and he had to leave the Fox reality show early after sustaining "dumb" injury but worried his wife when he called her in the middle of the night to tell her

He told Us Weekly magazine: "Truthfully, it was so dumb.

"It's my own fault that that happened. We were running this brutal workout through the mud holes and into the splash pond and all these things. It was absolutely freezing outside. I got hurt because I wasn't paying attention. It's my own fault that that happened. We were running this brutal workout through the mud holes and into the splash pond and all these things. It was absolutely freezing outside. I got hurt because I wasn't paying attention.

"I went and sat and thawed out in the shower and the wrist was one thing. I'm pretty good with tape. I could have got through it, but there was no way I could complete the next couple of days of that show with a blown-up ankle.

"I FaceTimed her that night. At the moment I got hurt, it was probably around midnight. So by the time I made it back to the hotel and got my phone out of the safe and all the things, it was probably 3 o'clock in the morning U.K. time.

"She'd known the period of the time of the show and probably in the back of her mind, she knows anytime my phone's going to ring before that last day, I'm going to be [hurt]. So her initial [reaction] - she was wide-eyed, kind of white as a ghost, asking, 'Are you alright?' And I'm like, 'Yeah, it's just my old body!"

Carey previously revealed that Pink - whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore - had called him an "idiot" for signing up in the first place.

Asked about his wife's reaction, he told TooFab: "The first words were 'You're an idiot!' I hear that a lot. It's nothing new. But she knows my mentality and my personality.

"And she was like, 'Look, if you're going to do it, I support it. And go kick a**!"

Carey - who has Willow, 13, as well as seven-year-old Jameson with the 'So What' hitmaker -noted that if his wife were to take up a place on the tough challenge show, she would likely do very well.

He said: "I feel like she would kill it. She ... Let me choose my words wisely here. She would absolutely kill it because she is physical and coordinated enough to. But I don't see her doing any of these things.

    "That's my politically correct answer!"
