Fire crews have been extinguishing a fire at a mechanics workshop in Auckland's Rosedale

Fire and Emergency responded to the blaze on Armstrong Road with seven fire trucks, just before eight last night.

A spokesperson says crews arrived to find the second storey of a mechanical repair shop ablaze.

They say it was put out just after midnight, and a fire investigator will return today.
