Lana Del Rey and Matthew McConaughey are among the stars who have sent their well wishes to the people of Texas, following deadly flash floods in the state

More than 100 people have died, and dozens are still missing, as a result of devastating floods in Texas Hill Country

Camp Mystic, a girls' summer camp, in Kerr County have confirmed at least 27 campers and counsellors have perished in the flooding, and some are still missing.

Singer Lana has been praying for the people of Texas "every moment of the day".

She wrote on Instagram: "I want to say how sorry I am for so many people's losses in Kerr County and beyond in Texas.

"We've been thinking of you every day since the floods.

"All of my prayers are with you every moment of the day this week and may all the angels be with you as you search for even more lost loved ones.

"I'm so sorry for everyone who's going through this. It's truly unprecedented and I can't even imagine it. All my love."

Matthew, 55 - who was born in Texan city Uvalde - issued a message of hope for his fellow Texans, insisting they are "some of the most resilient and generous people on the planet" amid the natural disaster.

He wrote on Instagram: "At least 70 lives have been lost, many more are unaccounted for, and countless Texans are hurting - inside and out.

"If you're able, please lend a helping hand where and how you can.

"It's gonna be a long road ahead, but right now the shock, the pain, and the chaos need the steady hand of a neighbor.

"Texans are some of the most resilient and generous people on the planet (sic)".

Hilary Duff - who was born in Houston, Texas - has also been left "devastated" by the disaster.

She posted on Instagram: "Heartbroken doesn't begin to cover it.

"Consumed. Obsessed. Praying for even a shred of a miracle - to find a child alive in the wake of this boundless disaster.

"Tears fall every time I imagine one of these families receiving bad news... waiting... or entire families lost. Just gone. It's too much to comprehend.

"Beautiful Texas, I love you. To all the boots on the ground - I love you.

"To those facing tremendous, impossible loss - we are looking at your beautiful faces, embossing them in our minds.

"We will remember them. Bright lights, gone far too soon.

"I was - and forever will be - that girl with a wild hearted, fierce love for my barefoot summers at camp in the Texas Hill country.

"It imprints on your soul. It changes your identity. It's a realm of true magic. You could never imagine an ending this tragic.

"I'm just so deeply, absolutely sorry. Your loss is felt across the world. (sic)"
