The Associate Justice Minister says no rule or label can fix Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, as advocates call for a new warning sign

The Associate Justice Minister says no rule or label can fix Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, as advocates call for a new warning sign

Advocacy group FASD-CAN's calling for pregnancy warning signs to be displayed on the walls of all licensed premises - not just on alcoholic drinks.

It estimates three to five percent may be impacted by alcohol exposure before birth.

Nicole McKee says the Government's investing more than seven million dollars into FASD prevention and improving diagnosis and support.

She says the real problem is people being so irresponsible they drink while pregnant, which only personal responsibility can fix.
