The Government has confirmed there have been two occasions where people have been allowed to isolate at home, after returning from overseas

The Government has confirmed there have been two occasions where people have been allowed to isolate at home, after returning from overseas

Two people who recently arrives back in the country are in managed isolation in their own home in South Auckland after getting a special exemption on medical grounds.

A managed isolation and quarantine spokesperson says they have received 44 applications for exemptions, with 42 being declined or not progressed.

They say people must have serious health conditions that cannot be properly addressed in a hotel to be granted an exemption.
