    Ardie Savea wants to honour his Samoan heritage while still at the peak of his rugby career


    The reigning world player of the year is joining Moana Pasifika for the Super competition, as part of a new national contract.

    The 30-year-old says he always aimed to make the move in his prime.



    Savea's former franchise, the Hurricanes, have revealed his new contract includes a Super Rugby sabbatical in 2026.
