Architects are hopeful for the future despite a slowdown in new construction work

Architects are hopeful for the future despite a slowdown in new construction work

The latest industry sentiment report from EBOSS, shows 57-percent of architectural practitioners are reporting fewer projects are starting, compared to 12 months ago.

Practices with less than three months of forward work on the books have more than tripled, from 6-percent in 2022 to 21-percent this year.

Managing Director Matthew Duder says there are some green shoots - with individual practices confident they can ride out this downturn.

He says a number of them think they can out-perform the market, so there are some signs of positivity.
