    Two Police cars have been severely damaged while responding to a crash near Warkworth, north of Auckland


    The officers were dispatched to a crash involving a car and person walking on State Highway 1 around 9:30 last night.

    One of the responding Police cars attempted to do a U-turn to access the other side of the motorway, but ended up crashing into the other car.

    Police say neither officer suffered serious injuries.
