Five people have been arrested - accused of forcing their way into a home in Auckland's Epsom just after midnight

Five people have been arrested - accused of forcing their way into a home in Auckland's Epsom just after midnight

Detective Senior Sergeant Martin Friend says Police allege they had weapons, and held a person at the Coronation Road home against their will, who was uninjured.

The group allegedly stole personal items, including jewellery - then tried to flee when officers arrived, in two vehicles.

Four men, aged 18-to-23, are charged with kidnapping and burglary - and are due in court today.

    A 16-year-old boy's also been arrested.
