More push back to the Government's proposed fast-tracked development of the Coronet Peak base

More push back to the Government's proposed fast-tracked development of the Coronet Peak base

It would link a new multi-use development -- known as Coronet Village -- with a gondola to Queenstown's ski area up the hill.

That would include up to 780 residential units, schools, and a mountain biking hub.

Aurum Survey Consultants', Bruce McLeod says it's one of the worst spots to develop, and is known to be cold and damp.

He says there are better spots in the Basin to consider developing first, instead of poorly-serviced areas.
