    Black Caps coach Gary Stead has acknowledged Tim Southee's role in the team's golden era


    The 35-year-old will retire from the test format after the upcoming home series against England, having been a part of the inaugural 2021 test championship side.

    Stead says Southee had to endure some tough moments prior to the success.
