Alan Jones has spent his first night on bail, following his arrest over multiple historical alleged indecent assaults

The 83-year-old former radio host -- who coached the Wallabies to Bledisloe Cup victory in 1986 -- is accused of offences against eight people, over 18 years from 2001.

He'll go on trial next month on counts of aggravated indecent assault, indecent assault, unwanted sexual touching, and common assault.

Jones was once one of the most powerful people in Australia, ruling the radio airwaves for 35 years.
