Kiwi golf star Ko and Aussie partner Day were at the bottom of the field after nine holes, but rallied with five birdies and an eagle on the back nine to finish at 10-under-par.

They're tied for sixth at the mixed pairs event.

The Thai-US partnership of Patty Tavatanakit and Jake Knapp lead on 14-under.
