Maori coach Adam Blair believes NRL clubs shouldn't be able to pressure their players into skipping the All Stars matches

Maori coach Adam Blair believes NRL clubs shouldn't be able to pressure their players into skipping the All Stars matches

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The former Kiwis enforcer led the Maori to a 10-6 win over the Indigenous men in Paramatta, but is saddened several top flight players had to bypass the match on their club's orders.

Blair feels for younger players in particular, who have been robbed of the chance to represent their people.

No charges have been laid from the men's All-Stars clash, but Maori second rower Tiana Rafstrand-Smith has been cited for a hip drop tackle following the 20-18 loss to the Indigenous women's.
