Rihanna wishes she could "slow down" amid her pregnancy

The Work hitmaker is expecting with her and partner A$AP Rocky's third child, and she is keen for a rest after jetting all over the world of late to promote her new Smurfs movie, in which she voices Smurfette

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Smurfs premiere in Los Angeles, she said: "I'm going to have to slow down, I know."

Asked when she is planning to slow down, she replied: "I wish I could right now. Honestly.

"We had a lot happening recently, and we got through all of it.

"And now that I got home, we are right back to work, and, luckily, this is the stuff I love to do, and I'm just looking forward to being in one place while I do all of that."

Rihanna was joined at the premiere by her and Rocky's sons, RZA, three, and Riot, 23 months, and the couple's youngest took a particular shine to character Smurfette on the blue carpet.

The 37-year-old singer said: "He's a little flirt. He was so excited, he was like, 'Woah. What is this?' "

Rihanna is excited for her boys to watch the movie, because she is eager to see if they will recognise her voice.

She said: "I cannot wait for them to see the movie.

"I think that's going to be my favourite, favourite part when they recognise my voice or they're like, 'Hold on. What is happening here?'

"I can't wait to see what their reaction is going to be like."

Rihanna and Rocky are yet to reveal the gender of their upcoming third child, but she admitted there has been a "slip up here and there".

She said: "A few people know. But [there was] nothing spectacular. No [gender reveal] production.

"Just a slip up here and there, I guess."

Last month, rapper Rocky appeared to accidentally reveal that he and Rihanna are expecting a baby girl.

When asked by Entertainment Tonight at the Smurfs world premiere in Brussels if their baby is the "girl you've been waiting for", he smiled and said: "It is, man, it is."
