Belief it shouldn't be up to Christchurch ratepayers to fix the issue of hospital parking

Belief it shouldn't be up to Christchurch ratepayers to fix the issue of hospital parking

Councillors yesterday, voted unanimously to explore Mayor Phil Mauger's proposal to open Parakiore Recreation and Sport Centre's car park for night-shift workers.

It's in response to increasing safety concerns, due to a lack of parking.

Councillor Tim Scandrett says Health NZ has responsibility as an employer, as ratepayers shouldn't have to cover the bases.
