Northland boxer Mea Motu's looking forward to showing off her renewed strength and power ... when she enters the ring tonight for the first time in the super featherweight division

The former super bantamweight world champion's first professional loss in January and the health impacts of repeated weight cutting have seen her go up two classes for her bout with Australian Sara Jalonen in Auckland.

Motu says if her training camp is anything to go by, her level of performance is going to go up several notches.

Motu's set to enter the ring at about 9.30pm.
