A rookie constable's admitted to leaking police intelligence to her gang member boyfriend

A rookie constable's admitted to leaking police intelligence to her gang member boyfriend

Summer Moana Pearl Smith, was in a relationship with the Killer Beez member and knew of his affiliation - before she joined the ranks in Auckland in March 2022.

Police uncovered messages between the two - after arresting Smith's partner, as part of a meth bust in April 2023.

She'd disclosed the identity of a man who'd named possible drug manufacturing sites, in a police interview, taken photos of her partner's profile - and asked him for drugs.

Smith pleaded guilty at the Manukau District Court, earlier this month - and will be sentenced in March.
