The construction sector is building solid momentum, as job ads for the industry rise

SEEK NZ's latest Employment Report shows a slight drop of 0.3 percent on overall job ads, siting less demand for workers in the retail, technology, and hospitality sectors.

Since November, jobs in construction have risen 3.4 percent nationally, up 43 percent year on year.

SEEK National Sales Manager Dave Swift says the sector's starting to recover from a difficult period.

He says tie that in to manufacturing, transport and logistics, with engineering also showing double-digit growth year-on-year, indicates how the market is recovering.
