    A call for an endometriosis action plan in New Zealand


    Endometriosis causes pelvic pain which can be severe and it affects one in 10 women worldwide.

    Australia has a Government-backed plan helping GPs and medical professionals better understand the disease, and its symptoms.

    Endometriosis New Zealand Chief Executive Tanya Cooke, says our health system is way behind.

    She says it takes about 10 years to get a diagnosis.
