    Inland Revenue is warning of a new e-mail scam, that surfaced over the weekend


    The e-mail offers tax refunds and appears to be very widespread.

    Spokesperson Sharon Thompson says they've had more than nine-hundred reports over the weekend.

    She says this scam includes an IRD number which isn't yours.

    It also includes a dollar amount for the bogus refund, which is something Inland Revenue doesn't include in emails.
