A grim outlook from one the pandemic's hardest hit areas

Kiwi footballer Niko Kirwan plays for Northern Italy's Reggiana in the Serie C .

Niko Kirwan says last week they had the feeling that the virus had peaked, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

The midfielder has just returned home to Treviso after spending a fortnight in quarantine following the positive tests to one of his team mates.

Niko Kirwan is the son of All Black great Sir John Kirwan.
