Aston Merrygold and his fiancee have done “all the planning” for their wedding – but never booked it

The JLS singer and Sarah Louise Richardson – who have sons Grayson, three, and Macaulay, eight months, together – pushed back their nuptials when the dancer got pregnant with their second child and although they have all the details for their big day, they still haven’t actually set a date

He said: “We’ve done all the planning but we’ve never officially booked it.

“So we’ll turn up somewhere and go, ‘We’d love a wedding in three weeks, how is this going to work?’ We just need to pick a date.”

But Aston refused to spill any of the details of the plans.

He said: “I’m not even allowed to put it in any WhatsApp groups! I’ll get into trouble.

“Whatever Sarah wants, it’s going to happen.

“I just say, ‘I’ll be there, you let me know when and where.’“

Although lockdown has had “moments of stress” for Aston, he’s enjoyed having more time with his kids, even if they didn’t always want to listen to him.

He told new! magazine: “It’s definitely had its moments of stress.

“But I don’t usually get this much family time when I’m working, so in some respects it’s a blessing.

“But when we’re confined to four walls with people every day, I think we’re all a bit like, ‘Give me five minutes and I’ll be fine.’

“But we make each other laugh and we’re riding through the madness.

“Grayson is now in that bracket where they’re allowed to go back to nursery but, before that, it was Zoom every morning.

“For kids that age, it’s hard. He’d be like, ‘No, put Spotify on’ when I’m trying to get him to listen to his teacher. So we’ve had battles!

“But it’s hilarious – you can imagine a bunch of two to five year olds on a Zoom call – it’s entertaining.”
